Elon Musk is encountering social media criticism after China complained that its space station had to avoid collisions with satellites launched by his Starlink Internet Services project.
The nation’s space station had two “close incidents” with Starlink satellites this year, Beijing claimed.
The occurrences behind the complaints held up with the UN’s space agency, but have not yet been autonomously checked.
Starlink is a satellite web network operated by Mr. Musk’s company SpaceX.
Elon Musk is notable in China as his electric carmaker Tesla goes under developing examination from regulators in the country.
The occurrences happened on 1 July and 21 October, according to an archive put together by China this month to the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs.

China began building the space station in April with the launch of Tianhe, the largest of its three modules. The station is trusted to be finished before the finish of 2022 after four manned missions.

In a post on China’s Twitter-like Weibo microblogging medium on Monday, one client said Starlink’s satellites were “only a heap of space garbage”, while another portrayed them as “American space warfare weapons”.
With nearly 30,000 satellites and other debris accepted to be circling the planet earth, scientists have asked legislatures to share data to diminish the risk of catastrophic space collisions. SpaceX alone has conveyed nearly 1,900 satellites to serve its Starlink broadband organization and is planning more.
“The risks of Starlink are large and gradually revealed, the entire human race will pay for their business activities,” a client posting under the name Chen Haiying said on Weibo.
