In recent news, KoreanUpdates! has confirmed that popular actors Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun Jin are in talks to lead the upcoming Netflix romance series ‘Trunk’. According to reports, the series will revolve around the lives of two individuals who don’t believe in the concept of marriage.
The series is based on a fixed-term marriage service agency named NM that helps its clients to experience married life with their desired partner. Seo Hyun Jin is set to play the role of Noh In Ji, the deputy head of the agency, who despite working for a marriage agency chooses to remain single. Gong Yoo will play the character of Han Jung Won, a music producer who has become disillusioned with marriages due to deception.
Gong Yoo’s agency, Management SOOP, confirmed the offer and stated that the actor is positively considering the role. Seo Hyun Jin is well known for her roles in hit dramas like ‘Another Miss Oh’ and ‘The Beauty Inside’. Meanwhile, Gong Yoo has gained immense popularity globally due to his performance in ‘Goblin’ or ‘Guardian: The Lonely and Great God’.
Although he has since appeared in brief roles in ‘Squid Game’ and ‘The Silent Sea’, Gong Yoo is eagerly looking forward to returning to a full-fledged romance role. With the addition of two highly popular actors and an intriguing plot, ‘Trunk’ is set to become a highly anticipated series amongst fans of the romance genre.
